Happy Harry’s 101

So far I have not been a big fan of Happy Harry’s because unlike Rite Aid they do not give cash back.  Happy Harry’s was purchased by Walgreens and uses a Program called Register Rewards.

Rewards work like Catalina coupons that print at the grocery store, by purchasing certain items a coupon called a register reward (RR) will print out for money off your next order.   This is why I don’t really like them as they have an expiration date and I am not a frequent shopper at Happy Harry’s.  However, sometimes the deals are good enough to get me in the store.

The weekly store flyer usually has in ad coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even greater savings.

One difficult part in using RR’s and shopping at Happy Harry’s, you need to have the same number of items as you have coupons. So if you have a RR, a manufacturer coupon and an in-ad store coupon, you must have at least 3 items in the transaction.  This causes the need for fillers which are either inexpensive items you can use or other items you need at the time.  Coupons also need to be given to the cashier in a certain order, RR’s first, then the manufacturer coupons and then the in-ad store coupons. This will just help simplify your life when checking out.

Walgreens discontinued their Easy Saver program in April.
